What is a Micro Pressure Control Valve?

A pressure control valve is designed to control internal pressures of fuel batteries, secondary batteries, and compact pressure containers. Applications include mobile fuel batteries, small-sized fuel batteries, pressurized containers, etc. The small and light weight nature of this product, combined with its customizability, provides versatility for specialized applications.

Slit Type
This technology is applied to relief valves of handy hydrogen generators (100kPa) for compact fuel batteries (polymer electrolyte fuel cell). If excessive pressure is accumulated in a container while hydrogen gas is generated, the slit will open in the valve to release pressure until the pressure falls to a specified level. This technology prevents container damage through proper pressure control. This is not a check valve but a recovery valve that can be used repeatedly.

 

Compression Type
This technology is applied to relief valves of hydrogen storing alloy containers (1MPa and over) for compact fuel batteries (polymer electrolyte fuel cell). If excessive pressure is accumulated in the container while hydrogen gas is generated, the rubber base surface of this valve is pushed out to release pressure until the pressure falls to a specified level. This technology prevents container damage through proper pressure control. This is not a check valve but a recovery valve that can be used repeatedly. In additon, EPDM-made cylinder shaped rubber valves are applied to explosion proof valves for Ni-MH batteries.

 

Umbrella Type
A prototype is currently in deveopment to be applied to relief valves of hydrogen generators for compact fuel batteries (polymer electrolyte fuel cell) or a relief valves for condensers. If excessive pressure is accumulated in the container while hydrogen gas is generated, the umbrella section will open to release pressure until the pressure falls to a specified level. The technology prevents container damage through proper pressure control. This is a check valve as well as a recovery that can be used repeatedly.
